Mirror, mirror on the wall
Change your life by changing your habits in front of the mirror
Every morning I give myself a good glance in the mirror. You probably do as well. You wash your face, maybe put on glasses or put in contact lenses. You’ll check your hair, check for toothpaste after brushing your teeth, maybe put on some make-up.
All really good things to do when standing in front of the mirror.
But what’s the conversation while doing this? What do you ask yourself? What are you looking for within or on yourself?
Because the way you treat yourself in front of the mirror, the way you use your time peering at your reflection, is exactly how you treat yourself outside of the bathroom. After all, how you do one thing is how you do everything. So what does your behavior say about you? And if you don’t like what it says, what can you do?
A few months ago, I noticed that I could not pass a mirror without checking my looks. I didn’t even think twice about it. I just leaned in, looking for blemishes and spots, searching for the places that ‘needed’ my attention. I was the girl always popping pimples, trying to smooth everything out (and usually ending up with something not smooth at all…).
